If you’ve ever sampled any of our dishes here at The Oxford Kitchen, we know you’re going to love our newly unveiled spring menus from John Footman and his team.
Our six course Spring Tasting Menu, at £50 per person and designed to be enjoyed by all on your table, is a true delight for foodies, made even more special by expert wine matching from our sommelier. (Wine pairing £35.) This menu is available Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, or by prior arrangement.
Start your À La Carte menu, available Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, with such dishes as poached sea trout, lemon oil, courgette textures, dill; Chicken wing presse, poached hen’s egg, peas, morels or Spring vegetable minestrone.
The array of mains choices includes chicken poached with black truffle, asparagus, peas, Gewürztraminer jus; Roast loin and braised shoulder of lamb, couscous, ras el hanout, preserved lemon, aubergine; and assiette of roast suckling pig, apricot, pea and lovage.
Among the desserts are caramel and cinnamon souffle, roasted banana sorbet; Bleu des Basques mille feuille, white truffle honey, poached pear, mache salad and Tunworth mousse, spring vegetable and rye salad.
